Spring Cleaning: While many people may be getting the urge to clean the inside and outside of their homes now that the weather is so nice, it is important to make sure that you put your cleaning chemicals away when you are finished using them. Place cleaners in cabinets where small children and pets cannot get into them. A lot of household cleaners contain dangerous chemicals which could prove to be toxic if consumed.

Spotless Windows: If you are planning on cleaning your windows, be sure that you have someone outside with you to hold the ladder when you are using it to clean the windows on the second floor of your home. This individual will make sure that the ladder is held securely in place so you don’t fall.

Now that spring is here, it will be important for you to make sure that both the inside and outside environments around your home are safe. Inside your home, check for frayed wires, loose plugs, and broken outlets. Also, make sure that your smoke detectors have fresh batteries and are functional.
